This PhD program presented me with new ways of understanding and dealing with the emerging problems in modern Biology; it also was a unique opportunity to exchange experiences with researchers in the field from all over the world (2006-12-01)

Resumé

Birth: Serpa, Portugal

Education:
2007-2010 PhD candidate at the PDBC
2006-2007 First year PhD student at PhD Program in Computational Biology
2001-2006 Graduation in Biological Engineering at Instituto Superior Tecnico, Technical University of Lisbon

Interests: lately my research interest focus on modeling of biological systems, evolution of metabolic and gene regulatory networks, genome architecture and evolution and synthetic biology. More generally I'm interested in computational biology, biotechnology, evolutionary biology, behavioural sciences, science communication and its role in society
