Where is the Life we have lost in living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? (T.S.Eliot, The Rock) (2005-12-01)

Resumé

Birth: Santarém, Portugal

Education:
2005 - 2007 MSc in Bioinformatics by the Faculty of Sciences - University of Lisbon (in collaboration with Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência)
2004 - 2005 Post-graduation in Bioinformatics by the Faculty of Sciences - University of Lisbon (in collaboration with Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência)
1998 - 2003 Graduation in Microbial Biology and Genetics by the Faculty of Sciences - University of Lisbon

Interests: I am generally interested in studying how cells integrate and process external stimuli through signal transduction pathways, and respond in accordance to environmental cues by selectively switching gene expression. In particular I will study these mechanisms by inferring and analyzing gene regulatory network structure and dynamics during hematopoiesis.
